Nestled in an old railway warehouse in Rio Claro, São Paulo, MM Boxe Academy is far more than a training ground. Founded in 2003 by Professor Marcos Macedo, what began as a humble social project has become a powerhouse of Olympic boxing, earning recognition at regional, national and international levels.
But beyond medals and victories, MM Boxe is a family where athletes discover that with hard work and determination they can reshape their futures inside and outside the ring. In the rhythm of the punches they learn discipline, respect, self-worth and the unbreakable strength of community. The victories are not just counted in championship titles but in the lives rebuilt through sport.
Some of the young athletes have gone on to represent Brazil in boxing while others have transitioned into coaching. Creating a new cycle of inspiration for the younger generations. Proof that MM Boxe does not just train fighters; it shapes futures.
Today Professor Macedo, who dedicated his life to building this academy and guiding generations of athletes can no longer give the classes himself. Age and health challenges have put him in a wheelchair, but his presence remains the soul of MM Boxe. His legacy continues in the hands of his sons, trained by him since childhood, who are now the head coaches of the academy. They carry forward his vision, ensuring that every lesson they’ve learned is passed on to new generations of fighters.
The MM Boxe academy is not powered by sponsors or financial backers. It thrives on human connection. Friends, volunteers, and kind-hearted supporters keep there dream alive. They are the ones who step up, ensuring the athletes have food, repaired equipment and even the means to travel for competitions. They are the silent force behind every punch thrown in the ring.
MM Boxe remains independent and helps to keep alive the dream of transforming young fighters into champions, not just only in the ring but in life.
